Robert McGwier (N4HY) > Underneath the antenna are two slits next to a telescope tube.  The two slits are the sun sensor.  The sun's position in the heavens is determined by the signals from these slits while the spacecraft is spinning.  The tube is a telescope and a sensor for the earth position.
