When I was a bit under the weather,  Heather made me my favorite jello.  This was the cause of some hilarity.

Robert McGwier (N4HY)

    Born March 7, 1954 in Lebanon, Tenn. Licensed in 1964 in Alabama, and N4HY since the mid 1970's. I grew up in Grove Hill, Alabama. I have 3 children. I live in Blacksburg, Va. I graduated from Brown University with a Ph.D. in Mathematics., taught math at Auburn for two years. I left there for the Center for Communications Research in Princeton, NJ area to work and was there until 6/2011.

    At that time I joined the faculty at Virginia Tech as Director of Research for the Hume Center for National Security and Technology, and affiliated with Wireless@VT and Space@VT. We are heavily invested in Software Radio, Cognitive Radio, and doing space science and engineering with Cubesat's as our primary target vehicle for science and space engineering education. We are the developers of OSSIE and developers for GnuRadio, FlexRadio, and AMSAT. I lead the SDR committee for the American Radio Relay League.
